Sanctuary Personnel - Senior Practitioner
Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, has a new permanent position available for a Senior Practitioner within the Looked After Children Team to work full time based in Luton.
The salary for this permanent Senior Practitioner job is up to £46,034 per annum.
Responsibilities:
1. To be responsible for a complex caseload including those children at risk and subject to care proceedings and child protection plans, making a positive difference for children, young people, and families in the town.
2. Support Team Managers to promote excellence within the team, providing peer supervision, mentoring, and deputising in the absence of Managers.
3. Gather information to complete clear, accurate, and holistic professional assessments of need and risk in respect of children and families.
4. Critically analyze all relevant information and take the lead role to coordinate the multi-agency approach to promote and safeguard the wellbeing and interests of children/young people.
5. Create effective SMART plans referring to the Practice Framework, implementing, monitoring, and reviewing using the appropriate available resources.
6. Liaise and work with other professionals and agencies to achieve optimal outcomes for children and young people.
7. Build positive relationships with children and their families through promoting participation and undertaking direct work to ensure their voices, wishes, and feelings are heard.
8. Update and maintain high-quality case files in the council's management information system, Liquid Logic, ensuring compliance with General Data Protection Regulations.
9. Take personal responsibility for own professional development and reflective practice, keeping up to date with changes to legislation, court rules, policies, and best practice development.
Requirements:
1. A Social Work Qualification or equivalent.
2. Understanding of relevant legislation.
3. Social Work England registered.
