Job Description
HRLife are working exclusively with a fascinating, London based organisation to find a talented HR Manager who will support this thriving, well known brand as they enter a period of change and opportunity.
This is a broad generalist HR role where no two days will be the same - offering the chance to work with an almost blank sheet of paper to create a trusted and robust HR function that will support engaged, high performing employees who love where they work and are passionate about what they do. The role encompasses a nice mix of operational day to day HR tasks as well as working with the Senior Leaders to help shape and drive the organisational strategy so someone who can work and think strategically but also get in amongst the detail is key.
Working as part of the Senior management team, you will be visible, take time to provide coaching and support to managers and employees on a range of HR activities such as effectively hiring great talent, succession planning, training and development, establishing and embedding values that help support and define the culture. In addition, you will be required to put some of the basics in place to ensure consistency and rigor such as updating policies, ensuring a great onboarding and offboarding experience, ensuring payroll data is managed correctly through to organising training, probation meetings, exit interviews and ensuring appraisals take place.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Overseeing the full employee lifecycle - onboarding, offboarding, contracts, inductions, RTW checks etc.
* Update and maintain HRIS data / produce reports and MI so trends and analysis can support decision making
* Support hiring managers to use appropriate resourcing strategies and tools to ensure the effective attraction of high-quality candidates
* Embedding new initiatives around engagement, retention, wellbeing
* Implement new processes and ways of working to ensure the HR function is current and operating effectively
* Driving effective communication of HR initiatives to ensure they're valued and embedded well across all teams
* Challenge the Management team and status quo to make the right decisions around its people
* Provide a focus and dedicated resources and budget to Leadership development, ensuring the way the SLT work together is streamlined, cohesive and offers opportunity and growth for employees
This is a broad HR role and offers someone the chance to be able to really create something special. You'll ideally come from a generalist background, used to working with a smaller (<100 people) workforce and enjoy the variety that a stand-alone role can bring.
You'll need to be onsite 5 days a week, be visible, adding value, understanding challenges that line managers face and offering credible solutions as well as having the ability to work with an element of ambiguity and challenge the status quo. Having empathy, great communication skills, being data savvy, and having a friendly, honest & open, human approach is also important!
There is some flexibility on hours as very occasionally some days may require work outside of the typical 9-5pm.
