The Vale Resort is an Award Winning, Four Star Hotel, comprising of a 143 bedroom with five food outlets, two championship golf courses, and Wales’ largest spa, health, and racquets club. Recent expansion of our Resort includes Hensol Castle, transformed into a luxury and unique wedding and events venue, proving extremely popular. Recent renovation of the Grade I listed Castle has now opened 20 luxury bedrooms along with award winning Distillery, gin school and visitor attraction tucked away in the cellar.
About The Role
As the Events Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our events department. You’ll work closely with the sales and to bring each event to life, ensuring every detail meets our high standards of excellence and exceeds guest expectations;
* Manage and execute the operational delivery of all events, including conferences, weddings, and private functions
* Lead and motivate a team of events staff, ensuring high performance and excellent customer service
* Liaise with clients, suppliers, and other hotel departments to ensure all logistics for delivery exceptional events are in place
* Monitor event budgets, reviewing staffing levels, and inventory to maximise efficiency and profitability
* Maintain compliance with health & safety regulations and brand standards
* Continuously improve processes and guest experiences through feedback and innovation
About You
* Proven experience in an events operations or banqueting management role, preferably within a 4-star or luxury hotel environment
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* Excellent organisational and time-management abilities
* Passion for delivering high-quality events and exceptional guest service
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple priorities
* Flexible with working hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
