Our client, a global leader in infrastructure investment management, is looking for an experienced Insurance Manager to spearhead their London Office, liaising with their US Office & other locations. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in supporting the Managing Director – Head of Insurance, focusing on managing insurance programs for portfolio companies (grossing up to $100M) and ensuring smooth insurance due diligence for new investments. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio and play a key role in safeguarding the assets of a growing global company.
As the Insurance Manager, you’ll oversee the renewal of insurance programs for portfolio companies, ensuring that coverage is both effective and cost-efficient. You’ll work closely with brokers and portfolio teams to ensure everything runs smoothly, making sure communication between all parties is seamless.
Handling claims will be an important part of your role, and you’ll lead the negotiation and settlement of disputed claims, ensuring that they are resolved fairly and efficiently. You’ll also be responsible for maintaining a database of insurance policies, making sure it’s always up to date with accurate information.
Additionally, you’ll be preparing regular reports on premiums, claims, loss ratios, and savings. This will help identify trends and offer insights that support the company’s risk management strategies. When it comes to new investments, you’ll carry out thorough insurance due diligence, analyzing existing policies and providing cost projections for future coverage.
Most Importantly, you’ll ensure that insurance policies comply with requirements across different regions and types of coverage, verifying accuracy and adequacy for both the company and its portfolio companies.
What we're looking for:
We’re looking for someone with a proven track record in managing corporate insurance programs and handling complex claims. You’ll need strong experience in negotiating with brokers, insurers, and internal stakeholders, along with a deep understanding of various insurance markets and types of coverage worldwide.
This role is not exclusively focusing on one line, the insurable risk of the companies & assets our client hold require management & consultative expertise. This can vary from Oil & Gas, D&O, Property & Casualty.
This role could potentially suit a Captive expert or a currently Insurance Manager working in a commercial setting interested in handling some of the largest Insurance Programs in the US. This is the dream role for a Master of all trades.
