Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Salaried GP, to work with us in our modern newly built Medical Centre in Acklam, Middlesbrough. Acklam is on the outskirts of Middlesbrough, close to the Cleveland Hills and North Yorkshire Moors. This role is for 4 sessions per week over two days. You would be joining our friendly, supportive, and rapidly expanding team. Excellent clinical support is provided from our extended clinical team, including ANPs, First Contact Practitioner, Social Prescribers and Prescribing Pharmacist. Main duties of the job Clinical Responsibilities: A variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, triage calls, triage visits, checking and signing of electronic repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion. Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems. Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness. In consultation with patients and in line with current Practice disease management protocols, developing care plans for health. To assist in the establishment of appropriate systems to manage common chronic medical conditions. Completion of clinically related administrative and non clinical duties needed for the delivery of the service. Refer patients for further opinions and interventions according to Practice protocols. Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards. Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions (avoiding hand-written prescriptions wherever possible). In general the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.
