You would be managing two theatres, recovery bay, and four bedded day case unit. We are looking for a dynamic, adaptable, and experienced Theatre Nurse or ODP who can work at pace. The candidate needs to be responsive to change and deliver the operational demands on a day-to-day basis. A proven track record in leadership is essential with the patient being at the heart of every decision made. You will have the ability to make decisions and work alongside the multi-disciplinary and Management team to influence clinical practice while ensuring national and local standards are met and the NMC/HCPC/AFPP/CQC code adhered to. You will provide a visible and accessible leadership in the clinical areas, demonstrating positive role modelling. Proven leadership skills are key to this role. We are interested in those applicants with Ophthalmic experience, however if you dont have this, do not let that stop you from applying as youll receive ophthalmic training where you will be valued and supported. As long as you can demonstrate managerial experience as a Band 6 or above in either day case or Theatres please apply. Your role will be 60/40% split between management and clinical sessions. The job holder will ensure that there is on call cover for out of hours emergency ophthalmic theatres which includes weekends and bank holidays and take an active part in on call rota. The job holder will be based at Wonford Hospital but may on occasion need to travel to Axminster Hospital and Nightingale Exeter. Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week. Shift pattern is 7.30am to 17.30pm over 4 days. No nights.
