Workshop Manager
Location: Arbroath
Salary: 45,000 per annum

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Workshop Manager to lead our busy engineering workshop in Arbroath. As part of a well-established and respected bus company, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of vehicle maintenance, ensuring our fleet is safe, reliable, and operating to the highest standards of compliance and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage day-to-day operations of the workshop, including scheduling maintenance, inspections, and repairs
2. Lead, motivate, and support a team of engineers and technicians
3. Ensure all vehicles meet DVSA and company safety standards
4. Monitor and manage workshop budgets, inventory, and resources
5. Liaise with suppliers and external contractors to ensure quality and cost-efficiency
6. Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
7. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices across the workshop
Requirements:
1. Proven experience in a workshop management or supervisory role within the commercial vehicle or bus industry
2. Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance, safety legislation, and compliance standards
3. Excellent leadership and communication skills
4. Ability to manage budgets, plan workloads, and meet deadlines
5. Relevant engineering qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent preferred)
6. PCV licence desirable but not essential
