Personal assistant required to support a man in his mid-30s who has a visual impairment and uses a wheelchair. This is a social role involving support with managing paperwork such as budgeting and planning, as well as support in outings and socialising. This may involve trips swimming, to the gym, out in town, and eating out.
Post is for 6 hours per week, £14.25 per hour.
The role is part time and flexible, with 6 hours per week. Possibility for hours to increase in the future. Shifts are very flexible and to be discussed with employer. There may be a need of PA support for a holiday, fully funded and paid.
No previous experience necessary, just a good sense of humour, good level of English, and good organisational skills. Applicant must be a part of Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme or be willing to join.
Duties:
Assisting with correspondence and administrative tasks.
Trips out and socialising, supporting in going swimming, to the gym, visiting town, and small walks.
