Programme: MArch Design Practice
About the Programme:
This is an exciting opportunity to join and shape a new Masters programme in the School of Architecture at the Royal College of Art. The MArch Design Practice supports students through research-led training towards delivering just transition. The programme engages with the complex and global consequences of construction to produce rigorous design and policy propositions that aim to transform the built environment. With climate as a central focus, students consider how economics, politics, and identity intersect with design to produce sites of opportunity and innovation, developing spatial practices towards a more just and flourishing world.
Through a flexible structure of core modules in the School of Architecture and electives across the Royal College of Art, students are invited to craft postgraduate journeys to fit their own learning and career ambitions. This interdisciplinary programme is enriched as a result, creating an exciting pedagogical environment in which students bring concepts, methods and ideas drawn from arts and humanities, design, communication, and creative education, into dialogue with architectural and spatial practices.
