The Development Technologist will work as part of the development team to develop and innovate new products and processes. Ensuring our bakery products are produced and delivered effectively to the satisfaction of our customers. They will work as part of our development team to deliver to both internal and external customers to a high standard. This is a fast paced role, where the successful candidate will have excellent organisational and communication skills. They will have worked in a similar development position, where they would have gained experience in developing new products and recording all required information to generate accurate costings. With great attention to detail, they will have to present facts and ideas clearly and accurately to customers in a supporting role. This role is based in Hamilton, however a willingness to travel is required as the Development Technologist will be required to occasionally visit our other sites in Lanarkshire. As the Development technologist you will support the NPD team in the development of new products and processes. You will use our recipe management system to record all required product information to generate accurate costings and ensure a smooth translation of kitchen concepts through to factory launch. You will be a good communicator, working closely with internal and external customers, presenting facts, ideas and concepts with clarity and quality. You'll also be a good organizer, planning your workload and coordinating samples and trials of new products. The development technologist is a central role in our development team, ensuring that we're developing products that not only meet our customer requirements, but our factory, technical and legal requirements. * Degree preferred Food science / technology or similar degree / HND equivalent or relevant experience
* Knowledge and interest of Food
* Excellent communication skills
* Computer literate - computer skills and knowledge of word and excel systems
* Driving license
* Basic or above Food hygiene
