Job overview
This post will start after July 2025
Over the coming year we are undertaking work to start to provide people in Lincolnshire a view of their health and care record using our Lincolnshire Care Record. This role will be pivotal in delivery of this, ensuring stakeholder engagement, project planning and delivery.
Main duties of the job
* Develop and manage a project plan.
* Engage with stakeholders widely.
* Manage risks and issues.
* Oversee project delivery and ensure the project meets its deadlines.
* Manage change control.
* Support change adoption and implementation.
* Work with suppliers, professionals and clinicians, digital and information governance colleagues, communications teams, patient representatives and national colleagues to ensure successful delivery.
Person specification
Qualifications
* Educated to degree level or equivalent professional qualification.
* Evidence of ongoing personal and senior level management development.
* A good general standard of academic achievement.
* Evidence of postgraduate advancement.
* Membership of appropriate professional organisation.
Previous Experience
* Demonstrable track record of achievement and excellence as a project manager at a senior level with evidence of delivery of information technology to support service improvement and business change.
* Experience at a senior level in ICT (or professional equivalent) including evidence of developing and managing services in a complex multi-agency environment.
* Previous experience of the procurement of large scale information systems and of negotiation and performance management of contracts and SLAs.
* Experience of budget management and resource allocation.
* Experience of effective team working at a senior level.
* Experience of collaborative working with other organisations, colleagues, suppliers and customers in the delivery of aims and objectives.
* Senior level experience within NHS.
* Evidence of deploying innovations and new technologies to promote efficient ways of working.
* Experience of supporting the development of ICT policies and procedures with whole organisational impact.
* Experience of the development of business or clinical software systems.
Skills
* Excellent project management skills.
* Good public sector IT procurement skills.
* Effective leadership skills that motivate and involve a team.
* Good communication skills including evidence of dealing with senior colleagues and involving other stakeholders from within and external to the organisation.
* Broad technical IT skills coupled with the ability to quickly understand the implications of new technologies.
* An up to date knowledge of NHS App and other national initiatives and their impact on the delivery of clinical services in the NHS.
* Knowledge of the importance of benefits management for the successful delivery of IT investments.
* Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with ability to understand highly complex, sensitive or contentious information.
* Knowledge of public sector IT procurement standards.
* A good knowledge of current technologies, standards, protocols, wide area networks, broadband and best practice delivering ICT services.
* Good understanding of the issues surrounding IT systems integration.
* Knowledge of one or more modern programming languages.
Specific Requirements
* Team player with a focus on achievement and corporate goals.
* Ability to travel across sites/county as required.
