Job Summary:
The Multisite Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for supporting housekeeping operations in Manchester City Centre to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and aesthetic appeal. This role includes supervising housekeeping staff, inspecting rooms and common areas, coordinating cleaning schedules, and ensuring compliance with all safety and sanitation policies.We provide vehicle when required, an automatic Mercedes small van (electric).
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise housekeeping staff, including cleaners and laundry attendants, to ensure all rooms are cleaned to the highest standards.
* Operations are focused exclusively on short and medium stay apartments (Airbnb, Booking.com etc)
* Inspect rooms, bathrooms, and public areas for cleanliness, order, and proper maintenance, taking corrective actions as necessary.
* Develop and coordinate cleaning schedules based on facility needs and occupancy levels.
* Train new staff members on cleaning procedures, the use of cleaning chemicals, and safety protocols.
* Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; place orders as necessary while controlling expenses.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular safety drills and meetings with staff.
* Handle guest complaints regarding housekeeping service or room satisfaction, ensuring immediate corrective action.
* Prepare reports on housekeeping operations, including staff performance, guest feedback, and inspection results for management review.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
* Proven experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or similar managerial role in the hospitality industry (2 years)
* Excellent organizational and team management skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with staff, guests, and other departments.
* Knowledge of cleaning techniques and operation of housekeeping equipment.
* Familiarity with health and safety standards and chemicals used in cleaning and sanitation.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
* Physical stamina and mobility, including the ability to reach, kneel, and bend.
