Oxford's Client is Seeking a Planner
We are looking for a highly skilled Planner to join our team for a 12-month contract in Birmingham, UK.
Main Accountabilities:
* Project Planning and Scheduling: Analyze project requirements with the project team, ensuring all essential work activities have been identified in sufficient detail to develop realistic project schedules.
* Progress Monitoring: Regularly monitor project progress and analyze critical paths to ensure milestones are met according to the plan. Communicate effectively with Project Managers on any deviations or scheduling issues and provide input for optimizing resources.
* Reporting and Communication: Issue progress reports, program updates, and productivity data on a regular basis as requested by customers and stakeholders.
* Baseline Plan Establishment: Work with the project team to define necessary resources for project completion, evaluating the work breakdown structure.
* Scope Change Management: Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, client, and contractors to identify potential scope changes and quantify their impact in a timely manner.
* Resource Integration: Integrate material resource requirements with project schedules and define procurement activities and order lead times. Communicate regularly with the Supply Chain Management (SCM) team to update schedules and optimize lead times.
* Project Reviews and Reporting: Participate in project reviews, compose reports, and update required project data in Project Control systems for Management Information and Project Analysis. Communicate project progress and control issues to project management and offer solutions.
* Customer Communication: Effectively communicate relevant information to customers and other stakeholders in a timely manner to achieve desired understanding.
Requirements:
* Experience: Proven 5 years' experience as a Planner within similar industries (preferably for EPC projects).
* Skills and Knowledge: Strong experience in project planning and scheduling, including mature scheduling methods and tools. Operational skills, robust previous experience as part of project teams. Ability to communicate effectively with all areas of the business. Knowledge of Oracle Primavera P6.
* P personal Qualities: Self-motivated and willing to travel when required.
Salary: The estimated salary for this role is £50,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
