We are excited to offer an opportunity for an inspiring KS3 Co-ordinator for Maths to join a team of dedicated, reflective practitioners.
Pittville Maths Department is a key partner of the GLOW Maths Hub. The successful candidate will join an experienced, successful, and well-motivated team with high expectations for all students. An ability to work well in a team and demonstrate a dynamic, innovative, and inspirational approach to teaching and learning is essential.
The successful candidate will:
1. Have a passion for securing the foundations at KS3 for all students and champion our #YesUCan ethos embedded in the department.
2. Continue to develop our well-resourced year 7-9 curriculum that supports teaching for a secure and deep understanding of mathematics.
3. Lead and co-ordinate collaborative planning and staff development.
4. Motivate staff and students to raise attainment and achievement at KS3.
5. Build relationships with local primary schools and coordinate transition activities.
6. Teach across all age and prior attainment levels, with a possibility of teaching level 2 further maths if this is of interest.
