Main duties of the job
In this role, you'll be assessing patients, planning their care, and providing safe and compassionate treatment. You'll also have the opportunity to supervise and guide junior team members, as well as teach students. Additionally, you'll play a crucial role in supporting your senior colleagues to achieve the team's Critical Care strategy and vision. It's an exciting and rewarding position where you can make a real difference in the lives of patients and contribute to the success of your team.
Our ICU is a general 10 bedded Critical Care Unit, which also supports the regional referral centres for burns, plastics and spinal cord injuries. We are a friendly, forward-thinking team who promote personal and professional development. We have a comprehensive education programme from our Practice educators, Senior Nurses, SIM training, teaching ward rounds and have strong practice links with the Critical Care Networks. The service includes Intensive Care and High Dependency Unit (Radnor); the Critical Care Outreach Team (CCOT) and Hospital at Night Team, (H@NT).
