PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
We are looking for motivated, customer-focused people who want to join our team as a Senior Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technician. The focus of the Senior Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technician role is to ensure safety regulations and policies are adhered to, to ensure preventative maintenance is conducted on time to a high standard and to provide high levels of equipment availability through continuous improvement.
Shift Pattern: This role includes working in non-traditional shift pattern, which may include nights and weekends.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Role model health & safety best practices and monitor those around them to ensure they follow the example they set.
2. Work in a hands-on manner and demonstrate SME (Subject Matter Expert) levels of knowledge on all MHE (Material Handling Equipment) in the building.
3. Coach and mentor the technicians on shift.
4. Provide high levels of equipment availability to our internal customers by means of troubleshooting and prioritizing.
5. Support continuous improvement of systems in a standard manner across the EU network.
6. Develop and maintain a good working relationship across all levels in the organization.
7. Understanding of OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and equipment performance metrics.
8. Management of contractors.
9. Coach and mentor the operational team on correct use of equipment.
10. On-site support and responsibility for management and escalation of high severity tickets.
11. Management of escalations to specialist subcontractors where required.
12. Management of critical spare parts inventory utilizing EAM system.
13. Co-ordinate/execute planned preventative maintenance on the full range of MHE equipment within the site.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
1. Served a full Engineering indentured apprenticeship and/or qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a relevant Engineering subject (City & Guilds Level 3, SVQ/IVQ).
2. Multi skilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines with relevant experience in automation or complex MHE environments.
3. Solid foundational knowledge of PLC based controls systems.
4. Experience using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) to plan proactive maintenance and record reactive tasks.
5. Knowledge of Statutory Compliance requirements.
6. Ability to communicate (written & verbal) in English and the local language at CEFR Level B2 or higher.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Proven ability to supervise and influence others on the team.
2. Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize many different projects and workload.
3. Experience of multi-contractor management.
4. Experience in a multi-site environment.
5. Experience in fault finding on building equipment i.e HVAC, Dock Doors, plumbing and general building maintenance tasks.
