The Post:
NHS Orkney Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) are recruiting a Community Health Care Support Worker to join the multidisciplinary team.
The Orkney Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service provides a service to children and young people up to the age of 16 (18 if in secondary education), and their families, who present with a wide range of mental health problems, ranging from moderate through to severe and enduring. CAMHS functions using an integrated multidisciplinary approach.
You will be responsible for delivering safe, efficient and person-centred care to children and young people, as delegated and directed by CAMHS Mental Health Nurses/Practitioners. The post holder will support Orkney CAMHS in the delivery of care to children and young people.
The post holder will promote a culture of engagement with children and young people, families and carers, which includes as core principles and values an approach which is caring, compassionate, courteous, empathetic and respectful.
The Candidate:
It is expected that the successful candidate will possess an SVQ Level 3 in Healthcare or have equivalent experience. Candidates will also require good communications skills both written and verbal and have the ability to work as part of a team.
Location, Working Pattern and Contract Duration:
This post will be based at Vaenta. The successful candidate will work: Full Time 37 hours per week. This post is on a Permanent Basis. It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NHS Orkney.
