GSL Education are seeking a committed SEN Teacher to join a specialist provision in Ringwood, delivering customised education to students with a variety of learning requirements. About The Role: As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and personalised lessons that cater to students with Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language difficulties, and Moderate to Severe Learning Disabilities. You will work in a structured and well-resourced environment, ensuring that each child has access to an education tailored to their needs. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver adaptive, engaging lessons that meet the diverse needs of students with SEN. Use differentiated teaching strategies to provide an inclusive learning experience. Create a structured and supportive classroom environment that promotes independence and confidence. Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, and multidisciplinary teams to implement tailored learning plans. Utilise alternative communication methods, such as PECS, Makaton, or assistive technologies, to support students. Track student progress, adjusting teaching methods to optimise learning outcomes. Implement effective behaviour management strategies in line with school policies. Maintain strong communication with parents, carers, and external support services to ensure holistic development. Uphold the safeguarding and well-being of all pupils. Requirements of the SEN Teacher: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Previous experience teaching students with SEN in a specialist or mainstream setting. A strong understanding of SEND frameworks, EHCPs, and individualised learning approaches. Ability to use creative and multisensory teaching methods to enhance engagement. Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills. Experience with specialist resources and assistive learning technologies is desirable. Excellent teamwork and communication skills to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. A passion for inclusive education and supporting young learners with complex needs. Have an updated CV ( covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps ) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one). Why Choose GSL Education?
