Which brings us onto the role… Your role The Hygiene Supervisor will have a pivotal impact in our brand-new facility right at the heart of our state-of-the-art Vertical Farm in Sandwich, Kent, where you will be supporting the site in producing delicious food products by maintaining a top-class level of hygiene in the production areas. Your primary purpose is to supervise a hygiene team and ensure the factory is kept to a high standard that as a minimum will meet, if not exceed our food hygiene standards. This means working with a multi skilled hygiene operative within an effective and efficient hygiene team, delivering high standards of cleaning throughout the site in accordance with company, customer and legal requirements. Requirements Hygiene Lead, organise, and monitor the hygiene team to meet performance and safety standards. Maintain high hygiene standards in the production and warehouse areas, ensuring compliance with food safety and health protocols. Manage and develop a multiskilled hygiene team, including training, audits, and performance monitoring. Oversee hygiene schedules, procedures, and equipment maintenance, ensuring adherence to all relevant management systems. Manage HR admin tasks like absence, holidays, and reviews while maintaining clear communication across departments. Control inventory and stock levels of cleaning chemicals, PPE, and housekeeping equipment, ensuring timely replenishment and functionality. Health & Safety Control COSHH management and associated training across all functions. Ensure all hygiene staff are trained and competent in all procedures relevant to their role To ensure material safety data sheets for all chemicals used on site are maintained, updated regularly and are accessible to all staff Benefits What's in it for you?
