Our client is a leading place-based impact investor based in central Bristol. They are seeking a confident and ambitious Portfolio Analyst to support their plan to become a commercially sustainable driving force in the region's social, environmental, and economic development. Hours: Full Time/ Part Time (minimum 4 days) Portfolio Analyst – The Role You will focus on portfolio management of existing investments and evaluating future investment opportunities. As a Portfolio Analyst, your responsibilities will include: Review the current investment portfolio and make recommendations; Monitor investments to ensure they achieve financial and impact targets; Maintain and monitor loan repayment schedules; Manage loss forecasts and provisions; Produce and deliver quarterly performance and investor reports; Assist with securing borrowing and management of multiple funds and debt instruments; Develop and maintain financial models to appraise investment opportunities; Assist with business plans, management accounts, budgets and cashflow forecasts; Researching industry sectors and comparable deals. The Successful Applicant As a Portfolio Analyst, you are likely to be a recently qualified accountant with an interest in corporate finance, looking to make a move out of practice or industry into a more commercial role. You will be motivated by social change and determined to solve problems in the face of competing challenges. Key attributes include: Qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA); Strong Excel skills and an interest in improving your financial modelling skills; Strong financial, analytical and research skills; Excellent communication and report writing skills; Good understanding of Balance Sheets, P&Ls and Cash Flows; Self-starter with a " can do attitude; Well-organised and excellent attention to detail; SME or corporate finance experience desirable; Property experience is desirable.
