Job Title: Housing Licensing and Enforcement Officer Location of work: Town Hall / Earlswood Depot/Hybrid working (Home-working) Salary : £33,408 to £44,787 per annum Basis: Permanent Full time About the Role The role primarily involves licensing of Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMO), but will also include licensing of residential mobile home sites and other housing investigation and enforcement work. This will involve undertaking programmed and reactive inspections and compliance visits to properties and sites, the investigation of complaints about housing conditions in property and the use of enforcement options to achieve compliance. The role would suit officers with an Environmental Health, Housing or other regulatory services background. About the Person The successful candidate will have: •Knowledge of the law around regulation of private sector housing; •Experience of inspecting, licensing and enforcing standards in residential property, including houses in multiple occupation; •Great communication skills; •An investigative and analytical approach; •Excellent time management skills; •Strong IT skills and be able to produce clear reports and case records; and •An alignment with our organisational behaviours of being Positive, Supportive, Flexible and Innovative.
