Position Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Pharmacy Technician delivers superior and professional customer service in the retail pharmacy, in collaboration with a small team of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and learners. He/she focuses on maintaining a high degree of accuracy while performing technical duties including preparation and checking of prescriptions, compounding, and inventory control.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Successful completion of a Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs (CCAPP) Accredited Pharmacy Technician Program, OR graduation from an OCP recognized Pharmacy Technician Training Program
• Current registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists as a regulated Pharmacy Technician
• Demonstrated accuracy in computer order entry, pharmaceutical arithmetic, and application of pharmaceutical and medical terminology
• Demonstrated accuracy in the performance of technical tasks including ordering/receiving, prescription preparation and checking
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively
• Ability to communicate effectively and cooperate with co-workers
• Demonstrated flexibility and ability to adapt to change in a fast paced environment
• Training and experience in non-sterile and/or sterile compounding preferred
• Working knowledge of Kroll preferred
• Excellent attendance and work record is essential

Include extended hours and rotating shifts as scheduled
