Let us tell you about your role : The National Museum of the Royal Navy (NMRN) is recruiting a part-time Museum Keeper to join the Museum Operations team, working at the Fleet Air Arm Museum (RNAS Yeovilton). We would like you to work 3 days a week, 3 hours a day on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, typically 9.00am to 12 noon. However, we are willing to consider other days and hour combinations for the right candidate. This is an exciting opportunity to be a vital part of the daily cleaning and care of our galleries, surrounded by Naval Heritage and our unique collection of aircraft. The Museum Keeper will provide daily cleaning in the galleries, directed by the Visitor Experience Managers, to help maintain the highest standards of cleanliness onsite. The Museum continues to work with a contractor to clean toilet / washroom facilities onsite, so the Museum Keepers are primarily required to complete less invasive cleaning such as gallery floor areas, skirting, display cases, touchscreens etc. Teamwork is a key part of this role in ensuring that the Museum site is always safe and ready for public visitation. What you can bring: Works on a programme of cleaning work with advice and guidance being taken from colleagues where appropriate. Contributes to success of FAAM Events and Venue Hire with cleaning, setup and clear down of event spaces. To ensure that a high level of cleanliness and hygiene is maintained throughout Museum galleries by conducting cyclical high traffic cleaning. To deliver unique, consistent and high levels of visitor experience and satisfaction, in line with the ethos and branding of NMRN. To ensure standards and procedures (including Personal Protective Equipment) are adhered to, using cleaning materials appropriately and maintaining good personal hygiene practices.
