Training course: Vehicle Damage Paint Technician (Level 3)
Hours: Monday - Thursday 7am - 3:50pm, Friday - 7am - 11am
37 hours 30 minutes a week
Duration: 3 years
Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and gain hands-on experience while working alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
The QA repair operations take place in the general assembly unit of the plant. The QA unit footprint where those activities take place is situated at the end of the main production conveyor. The manufacturing team passes a finished vehicle to the quality team, which is then processed through inspection and repair by quality personnel. The paint repair technicians are part of that process. At the end of the inspection and repair process, the final finished vehicle is passed from quality to logistics and then on its way to its final customer. As issues arise, the ability to fix dings/bumps and effect paint repairs efficiently and timely is key within the repair process. We are keen to find and train suitable candidates to support us in that role. You will work in the repair areas and report to the shift supervisor. The role is shift-based eventually, once you have completed your apprenticeship.
