PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The (Systems) Senior Project Engineer (SPE) role forms part of the team for the design, installation and delivery of the Broadcast, operational and other technical elements of our projects and management of installations. A SPE manages the detailed design, installation and commissioning stages of a project. This includes but is not limited to production of all project schematics & schedules, completion of testing and handover documentation, and supervision of the wiring teams.
The SPE is the main point of contact for the customer, assisting with any enquires they have regarding the project from receiving the initial scope to final project sign-off. The SPE is also involved in the overall efficiency of the Systems Division with process reviews, tracking lessons learnt during projects and providing feedback in the review sessions.
Supplementary tasks to the role are varied and include managing stock ordering master sheets with quarterly updates, assisting with material for marketing following each project and on occasion providing Pre-Sales assistance to the Proposals team.
The SPE role can include working away domestically and internationally, generally for short periods and / or repeat trips.
The role requires experience in systems delivery and experience of managing teams in an agile manner and the ability to remain calm under pressure in order to ensure a successful project delivery.
DUTIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
· Main point of contact for customers
· Project timeline and budget management
· Lead initial systems design conversations with customer from Proposals scope
· Systems Design
· Systems documentation creation, management, change tracking
· Equipment installation, management of configuration and testing
· Advising admin staff on equipment purchasing requirements
· Prebuild and materials purchasing list generation
· Wiring team Supervision
· project status reporting, internal and client facing
· Creation of change requests and variations
· Supervision of additional Engineering staff
· Completion of project acceptance procedure
· Delivering acceptance documentation
· Project snagging
· Conversion of proposals response to project deliverables
· Managing site work inc. Health and Safety, RAMS, First Aid to current process

1. Reports To: Head of Systems Engineering

3. Liaises With: Proposals Team, Project Team, Sales Team
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
· Previous project delivery experience
· Firm knowledge of broadcast systems and technology
· Broad equipment configuration knowledge
· Applicant must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the following areas; Planning, Quality Focus, resolving problems, Managing Processes, and Commercial Awareness
· Attention to detail as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills
· MS Office - Specifically Excel
· AutoCAD LT
· Applicant must be self-motivated, have strong timekeeping and organisational skills
· Full UK Driving Licence
