Scope of Role:
As Product Owner for Seller Experience, you’ll own the end-to-end journey for dealers and OEMs on our marketplace, ensuring they can list, price, and move inventory with unprecedented efficiency. You’ll prioritise features that simplify complex workflows (e.g., bulk uploads, cross-border tax compliance) and integrate with Salesforce to deliver a cohesive, data-driven seller experience. This role demands a blend of seller empathy, technical fluency, and Agile execution to drive adoption and loyalty across Europe.
You will support the Product Leader to execute the product strategy, act as the liaison between customers, business users, and the product owner, and support the implementation of key outcomes by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders.
Within the organisation, you’ll work with multiple stakeholders across the wider international business as well as Sales, Operations, Customer Support, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Senior Business Leaders.
You will develop a strong understanding of the business, people, products, and customers to help you develop the right products with your development team to solve the right customer problems. You will support research and discovery to evaluate product opportunities and define the requirements to be built to address those opportunities. You must be able to understand your customers and users and empathise with their problems to develop the right solutions in collaboration with your team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Seller-Centric Backlog Ownership
- Define and prioritise the product backlog for seller-facing tools:
- Inventory Management: Bulk listing, real-time sync with dealer systems.
- Pricing Optimisation: AI-driven recommendations, subsidy integrations.
- Cross-Border Sales: Tax/duty calculators, logistics coordination.
- Write user stories that balance scalability (e.g., pan-European workflows) with local needs (e.g., France’s used EV market).
2. Salesforce-Driven Seller Workflows
- Lead Salesforce integrations for seller onboarding, CRM, and billing (e.g., automated KYC checks, invoice generation).
- Collaborate with developers to build Seller Portals in Salesforce Lightning, ensuring seamless access to marketplace analytics and performance dashboards.
3. AI & Decision Engine Collaboration
- Partner with the Decision Engine team to surface actionable insights for sellers (e.g., “Relocate these 50 vans to Spain for faster sale”).
- Design UI patterns that simplify AI outputs (e.g., desirability scores, pricing alerts).
4. Cross-Functional Alignment
- Work with Marketing to align seller tools with lead-generation campaigns (e.g., “Featured Listings” for high-demand vehicles).
- Support Customer Success with tools to reduce seller churn (e.g., automated performance reports, dispute resolution workflows).
- Ensure compliance with regional regulations (GDPR, PSD2) in all seller interactions.
5. Metrics & Iteration
- Define KPIs: Seller onboarding time, inventory turnover rate, Net Promoter Score (NPS).
- Use A/B testing to optimise seller flows (e.g., “Version B reduced listing abandonment by 25%”).
- Report on seller success metrics to senior leadership.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
Essential
- 5+ years as a Product Owner or Product Manager, with 3+ years focused on B2B seller/marketplace platforms (automotive, e-commerce, or fintech).
- Expertise in Salesforce configuration (Sales Cloud, CPQ) and seller-facing workflows.
- Proven track record delivering features that drive seller adoption and retention.
- Technical fluency: APIs, data integrations, and Agile/Scrum frameworks.
- Deep understanding of marketplace dynamics (supply/demand balancing, pricing strategies).
Desired
- Experience with AI/ML-driven seller tools (e.g., dynamic pricing, inventory routing).
- Familiarity with cross-border commerce challenges (tax regimes, logistics).
- Salesforce Admin or Product Owner certifications (CSPO, SAFe).
- Fluency in German, French, or Spanish.
