As part of The Barnet Group, Barnet Housing manages Barnet's 13,000 council homes on behalf of Barnet Council. They also work to prevent homelessness and allocate homes to social housing applicants.
Job Description
1. To undertake cost-effective market routes for procurement activities.
2. Commercial aptitude towards contracts.
3. Category management.
4. Analyse and deliver effective tendering process.
5. Undertake and coordinate evaluation of submissions.
6. Communicate within strict time frames with suppliers towards clarification and results.
7. Lead on effective selection and evaluation process.
8. Provide support to the Group Procurement Manager and assist in the management of transforming contracts onto a digital platform.
9. Contribute to the overall improvement of the Procurement systems and assist with consumable bill validation for landlord supply.
The Successful Applicant
* Knowledge through experience of a wide range of procurement activities and commodities, including tendering, supplier, and contract management.
* Experience within a fast-paced procurement or commercial environment.
* Strong organisational skills.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Ideally, an understanding of or experience within public sector procurement.
