The lettings team at Michael Graham are looking for a suitable candidate to work in our Central Milton Keynes office to progress new tenancies. We are looking for a bright, driven individual with good communication skills and telephone manner with good attention to detail. The applicant should have residential lettings experience and a basic understanding of the Housing Act.
The job is to provide support and administration guidance through the tenancy application process and will also need to provide support to the front offices to ensure they follow the tenancy procedures correctly. The individual will be responsible for the check-in procedures and ensure all parties are kept informed and complete all pre-tenancy checks.
Responsibilities include:
1. Qualifying Landlords, properties, and Tenants according to company policy and compliance procedures, and setting them up on the software system (Reapit) while checking they comply with current laws and regulations.
2. Setting up and maintaining Rent & Legal Protection insurance policies with Landlords.
3. Progressing new lets, including applying for references, taking payments from tenants and landlords, and drawing up tenancy agreements, including preparation of additional clauses, addendums, and break clauses.
4. Supervising file records for all move-ins and ensuring all relevant documents are saved in Reapit, informing all utility companies of new tenant details with meter readings, and ensuring files are accurate.
5. Undertaking any other responsibilities as specifically directed and agreed with your Manager.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From £26,000.00 per year
Schedule: Monday to Friday, Weekend availability
Experience: Residential Lettings: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification: Propertymark ARLA qualification (preferred)
