T&I Lead OSS required for a major offshore wind developer based in Scotland.
Responsibilities
1. The analysis and definition of installation sequences, scenario planning, weather limitations, weather downtime, etc. for all activities relating to OSS Transport and Installation.
2. Review technical documents as received from contractors, including drivability analysis and vessel assurance.
3. Support the development of the OSS T&I Employer Technical Requirements.
4. Preparation of OSS/Fou. Transport & Installation ITT documentation.
5. Evaluation of OSS/Fou. Transport & Installation bidders' responses.
6. Support the contract tender process including technical evaluation and recommendation of installation vessels and methodologies.
7. Review information transmitted from the T&I Contractors to confirm completeness and correctness during tender, negotiation, and post-award.
8. Coordination of the offshore installation work and interface with relevant packages (i.e., Cables, OSP, and WTG).
9. Engineer the development of an optimized marine logistics and installation plan for the construction stage of the project in coordination with other T&I Engineers.
10. Development of internal marine assurance procedures.
11. Management of Marine Warranty Surveyor and document review process for the foundations T&I work.
12. Interface with designers and manufacturers to optimize T&I work.
13. Ensure compliance with technical safety design process and CDM regulations.
14. Ensuring Contractors follow best wind industry practices and applicable legislation.
15. Ensuring all activities comply with the consent conditions and that Contractors adhere to them during construction.
16. Liaise with Offshore representatives and monitor progress during the construction phase.
17. Regular reporting as may be required by the Package Managers.
18. Recording of lessons learned throughout the project.
19. Coordinate with the Construction Management team to optimize all OSS Installation operations and ensure all requirements are communicated to respective parties.
Requirements
1. Degree qualified (e.g., B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical engineering).
2. Certified project management professional.
3. Extensive experience managing large-scale and complex projects from a relevant industry such as wind power, power generation, oil & gas, or similar.
4. Solid commercial understanding and business acumen.
5. Must have sound knowledge of Offshore Wind Installation and Marine Operations.
6. Experience with rock installation campaigns is desirable either in Engineering or Offshore Installation.
7. Strong understanding of HSE and CDM legislation.
8. Strong negotiation and mediation skills.
9. Solution-focused approach to challenges and solid business acumen.
10. Strong communicator with good interpersonal skills.
11. Flexible approach to working hours to ensure the delivery of planned and unplanned activities.
