Cloud Engineer – AWS
As a Cloud Engineer, you will play a key role within our customers Engineering Applications team. Your responsibilities will involve optimizing, scaling, and enhancing our AWS infrastructure, while providing vital operational support across various engineering teams. You will have the opportunity to work on establishing new cloud engineering best practices, develop tools and systems, and help innovate our cloud-based architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide operational support for both on-premises and AWS-based platforms
* Design, implement, and improve monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting processes
* Develop and manage dashboards, alerts, and reporting tools for performance and health monitoring using services such as CloudWatch and New Relic
* Automate the deployment and management of cloud-based solutions within AWS
* Troubleshoot complex issues across AWS cloud environments
* Oversee and improve CI/CD pipeline operations across all development environments
* Collaborate with engineering teams to address platform requirements and resolve any related issues
* Build and manage scalable, high-performance cloud deployments on a global scale
* Maintain consistent communication with relevant stakeholders regarding platform performance and issues
Essential Technology Stack:
* Terraform, CloudFormation, Serverless Framework, AWS-CDK
* AWS services: Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, S3, EC2, WAF, IAM, VPC, EKS, ECS, Elastic Beanstalk, CloudWatch, etc.
* GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Docker, Ansible, Shell scripting
* JFrog Artifactory, SonarCloud
* Monitoring tools: New Relic, CloudWatch, ELK stack
* Kubernetes (K8s), Helm
Skills & Qualifications
* Strong ability to troubleshoot and document technical issues
* In-depth experience with AWS infrastructure and services (EC2, ECS, EKS, RDS, Lambda, DynamoDB, Elastic Beanstalk, etc.)
* Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Bamboo
* Solid understanding of web security principles and DevSecOps practices
* Experience with microservice architectures (serverless and containerized solutions)
