We now need NMC registered vaccinators, to step forward in the continued effort to deliver an effective immunisation programme across South West London.
We are looking to recruit from our local communities to enable us to provide a safe and effective vaccination programme while continuing to offer timely access and minimal impact on other NHS services.
As a Clinical Assessor for the Immunisations service, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering a safe and effective service for the delivery of vaccinations for influenza (flu), COVID-19 vaccine(s) - both of which are Seasonal Campaign's and assist in other immunisation programmes as required. You will be required to vaccinate adults and children.
You are able to choose your shifts and sites through our e-rostering system.
You will be fully briefed and training will be provided on all required vaccines including Covid-19.
In the meantime, you can prepare by ensuring you are up to date with any annual immunisation training as part of your NMC registered professional training.
This advert is for Bank work and you will work as and when required, with flexibility to choose your shifts within the constraints of the service. Please note - if successful you will receive an offer from Croydon Health Services, as the host Trust for the South West London Immunisation Service.
Main duties of the job
This role plays a crucial part in the successful delivery of vaccinations within South West London, supporting the population through a network of pop-up and housebound clinics as part of the Roving Immunisation Service.
Key Responsibilities
1. Pop-Up Clinics
1. Setting up and managing pop-up vaccination clinics across all of South West London.
2. Providing outreach services to vulnerable and hard-to-reach communities and areas underserved by Primary Care Networks (PCNs) and Community Pharmacies.
2. Housebound Service
1. Delivering vaccination services to housebound individuals and residents of care homes.
3. Operational Management
1. Conducting site risk assessments to ensure safety and compliance.
2. Coordinating and deploying trained and qualified staff to deliver services efficiently.
3. Managing the transportation of essential equipment while maintaining strict adherence to vaccine cold-chain protocols.
4. Data Management and Compliance
1. Accurately recording patient data and vaccination numbers in appropriate systems.
2. Conducting periodic audits to uphold quality and compliance standards.
5. Clinic Setup and Clean-up
1. Supervising the start-of-day setup and end-of-day clear-up to ensure seamless clinic operations.

Essential criteria

2. Current immunisation training / update or willingness to undertake
