Main Purpose of the role:
As a People Advisor, you’ll provide expert guidance to managers and colleagues, support key people initiatives, and ensure smooth people processes.
Responsibilities include:
* Offering HR advice across the colleague lifecycle
* Managing colleague relations, performance, and absence
* Supporting People projects and policy development
* Overseeing People administration and data management
The Role & Responsibilities:
* Recruitment and Talent Attraction – work closely with managers to attract talent to LUFC and ensure an engaging candidate journey.
* Employee Relations: Collaborate closely with the Employee Relations Manager to manage your caseload effectively, ensuring a consistent and robust approach to employee relations matters.
* Coaching and Guidance: Serve as a key contact for managers, employees, and the wider HR team, offering coaching, guidance, and support on a wide range of people-related queries.
* Manager Support: Empower and guide managers and leaders to become more self-reliant in managing their teams, while ensuring all actions are in line with legal compliance.
* HR Systems: Act as a ‘super user' for the HR system, ensuring data accuracy, GDPR compliance, and suggesting innovative technology solutions to enhance daily operations.
* Policy, Process, and Procedure: Partner with the Head of People to drive continuous improvement of existing HR policies and processes.
* HR Projects: Assist the Head of People with key HR initiatives, such as wellbeing programs, employee engagement, diversity, equity & inclusion (ED&I) efforts, and reward and recognition schemes.
* Data and Reporting: Provide data-driven insights by producing reports that help optimise people management and processes throughout the employee lifecycle.
* Conducting Exit interviews, regularly reviewing data, reporting on trends and advising managers on implementation of solutions.
* Proactively managing parental leave policies and requests.
* Working in close collaboration with fellow People Advisors to ensure a consistent approach across LUFC.
* Promoting a service mentality and partnership approach to build and maintain excellent working relationships with key internal stakeholders.
* Confidently influencing key stakeholders to gain buy-in and support for new ways of working, alternative solutions, and key projects.
* Understanding customer needs and adapting an agile approach to deliver advice, initiatives and projects as appropriate to your area.
Required technical skills, experience & knowledge:
* Strong communication, organisation, and HR experience
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
* GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent)
* CIPD qualified or equivalent is highly desirable
* Proven track record working in a People Advisor capacity in a fast-paced environment
