Job Description
Qualified Social Worker, Independent Reviewing Officer, St Helens Council, Looked After Childrens Team - Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children's Social Work team.
The responsibilities will include:
1. To chair Looked After Children meetings, Child Protection Conferences and other Safeguarding meetings.
2. To develop and ensure good and consistent practice for Looked After Children and Safeguarding.
3. To provide consultation and advice on all Safeguarding and LAC issues.
4. Children subject to Court proceedings.
5. Liaise with other professionals.
6. 37 hours per week (flexible by negotiation).
7. 3 month Temporary Contract.
8. Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance.

The successful Qualified Social Worker candidate will need to hold a Degree or equivalent, must be registered with Social Work England, have a current DBS and be a car driver.
