At Myton School, we are seeking dynamic and motivated 2nd in Department for our Science Team who is passionate about education, leadership, and innovation in science teaching. We are looking to welcome a motivated teacher with a keen interest in encouraging and inspiring students to love learning and excel in Science. We are a fast developing and innovative area of the school and have made Science an extremely popular and successful subject at Myton through to Key Stage 5.
As 2nd in Department, you will support the Head of Science in managing day-to-day operations, fostering a positive learning environment, and leading the Combined Science curriculum at Key Stage 4. You will take on leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Head of Science and play a key role in maintaining high standards of teaching and learning within the department.

At A Level, our sciences contribute to our Ofsted-rated “Outstanding” 6th Form with consistently strong outcomes in all courses.
At Myton, we are proud of the supportive and rewarding environment we have created. We have high standards and a good reputation, built upon the hard work and dedication of our staff. We recruit people who are passionate about education and young people, and who have the knowledge, drive and personal qualities to inspire our students.
As well as being academic, we are also highly inclusive and want all students to develop a love for science and to think like a scientist. As a happy and purposeful community, we offer students an exciting curriculum and a huge range of extra-curricular opportunities within a safe, secure and supportive environment.
