Coulter Elite Resourcing is currently looking for a Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer to work with one of their well-established and highly successful clients, a leading name in the mechanical & electrical building services design consultancy sector, known for delivering high-quality projects and exceptional customer service. Our client is expanding their team in Croydon to meet growing demand for services.
Principal Responsibilities for the Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer:
1. Lead Design and Technical Consulting: Provide expert design and technical advice, covering site surveys, feasibility studies, technical reports, and commissioning for building services projects.
2. Manage Multiple Projects: Oversee and coordinate multiple projects, ensuring deadlines and cost requirements are met, with minimal supervision.
3. Collaborate with Design Teams: Work closely with both internal and external design teams, maintaining clear communication and delivering excellent client care.
4. Deliver Technical Documentation: Prepare designs, calculations, specifications, and reports, ensuring compliance with project requirements and building regulations.
5. Promote Sustainability and Quality Control: Incorporate sustainability and energy efficiency in designs, while conducting defect inspections and ensuring adherence to best practices.

6. Project Understanding and Scope: Grasp project briefs, fees, timelines, and scope, with awareness of any limitations on specific projects.
7. Budget and Cost Management: Monitor project costs and ensure design recommendations align with the overall project budget.

This is a full-time, permanent position for a Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer, working 40 hours per week with opportunities for overtime. The role offers an annual salary of up to £50,000, along with a company car. Benefits include 22 days of holiday plus Bank Holidays, a pension scheme, and free car parking.
