Cityworx are recruiting for a Operations Manager to lead, develop and improve the performance, efficiency, and profitability of Care Services, using effective methods and strategies. Working closely with the managers of the services you will ensure that clients are offered an integrated service. Working with the Registered Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the day-to-day operations, including recruiting and managing staff teams and managing budgets - ensuring that the quality of the services provided meets national care standards. Ensuring each location is ready for CQC inspection. Main duties and responsibilities. Financial Prepare and manage the service budget within agreed authorisation limits and reporting to the CEO. Analyse data and reports provided by the finance team and use them to continuously improve profitability Work with others to produce clear bids and tenders to support achieve agreed goals in line with current strategy. Include financial and resource implications in all reports and action plans for the service. Plan and implement effective strategies to continually increase the financial sustainability of the service. Human Resources Supervise the registered manager and project staff, ensuring they have the skills and training for their role, and tasks are delegated appropriately Manage the recruitment and selection of staff for care services ensuring there are clear plans and processes in place to recruit the right people to the right roles being creative for those roles that are more challenging. Ensure all staff records are kept securely and in compliance with regulations including CQC regulation 19 Ensure staff adhere to all policies and procedures. Be responsible for Health and Safety in the office producing suitable risk assessments as required and ensuring all health and safety checks are completed in a timely manner. Marketing and Communication Actively participate in managers meetings and ensurerelevant information is clearly cascaded to Care Services staff. To ensure good communication between all members of staff including producing a monthly care services newsletter and providing written copy for internal and external communications. Work with the wider management team to plan and deliver events for clients Evaluate and implement new and innovative ways to promote Care services to key stakeholders, negotiating on pricing to achieve best value. To work collaboratively with staff from all the teams and key external partners including potential clients recognising when internal and external partnerships add value and improve services. Operations Ensuring the provision of high-quality care services that comply with the contractual obligations and meet at least the standard of a good service as defined by the care quality commission. Monitor, evaluate and report on the performance of Care Services identifying areas for service development in accordance with organisational strategy and quality assurance requirements. Develop and improve processes, procedures, and policies in support of organisational goals. Pro-actively manage customer, employee, or clients complaints, through to resolution, in accordance with the Carers in Hertfordshire policy framework. Ensure all learning from any service dissatisfaction is captured and implemented, encouraging a culture of openness and transparency in the team. Lead regular team meetings to encourage a culture of learning and address any capability or capacity issues. Identify and implement any staffing changes or service improvements with agreement of the CEO. Work with the registered manager to ensure the correct staffing requirements across the regulated and unregulated services are always in place. Liaise with Business Support and ICT Manager to ensure a safe working environment with appropriate resources including ICT. Regularly review and update the service risk register, identifying new risks and appropriate mitigations. Strategic Input Liaise with Senior Management Team in the development and implementation of strategic plans. Be alert to opportunities to develop services in line with strategy.
