Location: Birmingham, Edinburgh or London with flexibility of some time spent working from home and from time-to-time, travelling across Phoenix offices.

We have an incredible opportunity to join us here at Phoenix Group as an Authorised Fund Management (AFM) Oversight Analyst within Asset Management.
The role:
The AFM Oversight Analyst provides foundational support to the AFM team, focusing on developing technical skills and understanding of fund operations, governance and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Learn entity and fund operational, governance and regulatory requirements – Develop fundamental understanding of fund management requirements.
* Develop understanding and support the oversight of:
* daily fund activities to ensure they are carried out by the outsourced suppliers for the Unit Trusts and Authorised Contractual Schemes (Pricing and Fund Accounting, Transfer Agency, Tax and Investment Management) and escalate any issues to the AFM team and/or governance forums and committees
* regulatory commitments, which include reporting and monitoring of breaches, liquidity, complaints, SDR/index oversight and risks internally/externally
* implementation, production, maintenance and review of the regulated materials (such as prospectus, risk policies, full and interim accounts, AoV reports, factsheets and other filings) including Policies and Procedures for the AFM function
* fund launches and closures, including any fund change activity
Assist in reporting and governance preparation – Support the creation of management information, compile basic reports, and assist in document preparation.
* Support the production of papers for inclusion in board and internal committee reports
* Support the AFM function with the production of KPI’s and reporting
* Support the AFM function by attending meetings if required
Build stakeholder understanding – Maintain effective communication and collaboration techniques.
* Support the AFM team in managing relationships with colleagues in PIO, Asset Management, Finance, Compliance, Risk, Tax, Legal and Actuarial.
* Work with and support PIO and P&S in delivering optimal policyholder outcomes across the AFM fund ranges.
* Support relationship management with external partners in asset management, fund administrators, transfer agents, Depositaries and custodians for the AFM fund ranges.
Support regulatory compliance – Conduct basic compliance checks and resolutions, and assist in annual/adhoc compliance monitoring activities.
Develop professional skills – Actively learn and grow within the team's framework.
Support change management activities – Assist in basic project tasks, data collection, and administrative support for strategic change initiatives including drafting of regulatory applications.
What are we looking for?
* Previous experience within Financial Services, preferably in fund management
* Reasonable understanding of fund structures (Unit Trusts, Authorised Contractual Schemes, Unit Linked Funds and other collective fund structures)
* Experience in fund governance, fund compliance, stakeholder management and fund oversight
Qualifications:
* Financial related undergraduate degree. Accounting/economics (desirable)
* Studying (or prepared to study) for IMC (desirable)
