Knowledge, skills and training
Essential criteria:
1. Registered practitioner to degree/diploma level supplemented by post registration diploma level specialist training and/or short courses or demonstrable extensive experience in the relevant specialty.
2. Membership of the relevant Professional Body.
Desirable criteria:
1. Recent previous experience within a comparable role.
2. Attendance of biomechanics specific training.
Job specific experience
Essential criteria:
1. Experience at Practitioner Band 5 level.
2. Experience of specialist working.
Desirable criteria:
1. Liaison with Diabetes Services.
Managerial/Supervisory experience
Desirable criteria:
1. Experience of providing clinical supervision and mentoring to junior staff.
2. Experience of devising and delivering training.
3. Evidence of dealing with complaints.
Information technology/resources
Essential criteria:
1. Able to analyse data and produce reports using Microsoft Excel and Word.
2. Experience of using electronic patient/service user record systems.
Personal qualities/attributes
Essential criteria:
1. Evidence of demonstrating the Trust’s values and behaviours.
2. Evidence of communication in a variety of formats with different health professionals.
