Personal care assistant required for young male
'Our client is looking for a personal assistant for their son. He has received diagnoses of Autism Spectrum Disorder and Development Delay. The role involves assisting our client's son in accessing the community, improving his social experience and some personal care.
The successful candidate should have excellent communication skills and be patient. Our client's son does not identify danger or risk, so it is vital that the successful candidate is alert and prioritises safety. Our client's son is very bubbly and cheerful, with a mischievous side. Our client's son enjoys spending time outside, visiting a variety of places with gentle introduction, creating games and playing on his phone. He particularly enjoys watching Ben & Holly, and Peppa Pig.
The role is 6 hours per week in the one week school holidays, and 12 hours per week in the two week holidays, paid at £12.21ph. The role is based in Scunthorpe.
Due to the nature of the role an enhanced DBS will need to be completed, which we will fund.
