“Shaw Trust promotes team spirit, inclusiveness and it is an organisation where everybody is somebody. I am proud to be part of this great organisation.”
Purpose
The Group Risk and Resilience Manager plays a key role in designing, delivering, and implementing a robust risk, crisis, incident management, and business continuity framework across the Shaw Trust Group. This involves developing risk models to address commercial, financial, and operational risks, ensuring controls operate effectively, and providing research and analytical insights.
This is a critical ‘second line of defence (2LoD)’ role, responsible for maintaining and evolving the risk and resilience frameworks while overseeing the governance of first line activities which involves identifying, capturing, analysing, monitoring, reporting, and escalating all risk types arising from Shaw Trust Group activities.
From a resilience perspective, this role involves developing and sustaining a framework that enables swift and accurate incident response. It includes capturing relevant details and escalating incidents appropriately based on severity and managing the resultant response and recovery. This interfaces with a proactive Business Continuity Management System (BCMS), aligned with ISO 22301 standards, that will identify key business activities and resources, define strategies, and implement an infrastructure to ensure business continuity at pre-agreed levels.
Collaborating with teams across the organisation, you will develop streamlined processes, systems, and controls that provide assurance to senior leadership. Your work will ensure that critical risks are identified, controls are effective, and response and recovery mechanisms are rigorously tested and ready.
