Job Title: Compliance & Facilities Agent
Contract: Permanent
Location: Regional – Greater Manchester
Weekly Hours: 35
So…. What is this role exactly?
Are you driven to achieve results and great outcomes? Do you work at pace on your own or within a team? Are you looking to be part of an amazing organisation like Your Housing Group and join #TEAMYHG to provide a brilliant customer experience and keep our customers safe in their homes?
If this is you, and you have knowledge or experience within Health & Safety or Compliance & Facilities Management, we would love to hear from you!
This is an exciting opportunity for a Permanent Compliance & Facilities Agent to join our Region 5 Housing Management Team, which covers the Greater Manchester Area.
The successful post holder will be performance driven, with the ability to manage your own workload and meet targets. You will live within 20 miles of Manchester to cover your patch and within a reasonable travelling distance of our Head Office in Birchwood, Warrington to attend meetings and training courses.
We are looking for someone who thrives on a challenge within a fast-paced team, whilst always delivering a first-class customer service. You will be provided with a company van; therefore, it is essential you hold a full UK driving licence.
What will my working week look like?
Reporting to the Assistant Regional Manager, you will be responsible for completing block inspections on your allocated patch within Greater Manchester. These inspections ensure that our customers' safety is always kept paramount by reporting repairs issues, removal of hazards, and following our Clear Landings Policy.
Good record keeping of inspections is essential alongside the use of our Housing Management System to ensure inspections are 100% compliant each month.
You will also work with the Housing Management team and other internal stakeholders to complete Fire Risk Assessment Actions and Annual Gas Safety checks.
What will I be responsible for doing?
First and foremost, you will be carrying out block inspections (including fire alarm testing and emergency lighting testing), taking corrective actions from Fire Risk Assessments, and carrying out site visits relating to gas compliance.
One of the great things about this role is you will get the opportunity to make our schemes a better place to live for our customers via recommendations of improvements using our annual Compliance & Facilities Budget.
You will ensure Your Housing Group remains 100% compliant, in line with Health & Safety regulations, within the communal areas of our properties, arranging for the removal of hazards and reporting repairs. Alongside this, you will utilise your excellent communication skills to take ownership and/or escalate customer queries whilst carrying out inspections.
And what would make me stand out from the crowd?
* Be self-motivated with good attention to detail.
* Ideally have experience of lone working in a similar role.
* Have good ICT skills to use the mobile devices essential to carry out your duties.
Ideally you will be:
* Flexible with the ability to change your working day to meet business needs.
* Professional and able to interact positively with customers.
This role is suited to someone who enjoys meeting customers in a face-to-face environment while having the autonomy to manage their own patch of properties to ensure safety and compliance at all times. The role also offers genuine progression opportunities.
