STORES CONTROLLER NORWICH What you will be doing: An opportunity has arisen for a Stores Controller to join the team at Lintott, a Galliford Try business. The Stores Controller will work within the Company as part of a Management Development Programme. To provide efficient & effective material supply arrangements & stores facility that supports the business to deliver excellent customer service. Control of the material storage supply arrangements & facilities, ensuring that materials are stored safely, & security processes are implemented to prevent any unauthorized material being taken from stores. Develop new whilst maintaining existing material stock system, ensuring that materials stocked, are to the agreed specification & stock levels are maintained at the optimum usage & financial levels. Process material requisitions from colleagues through the implementation of the agreed processes & information systems. Take a leading role in the annual & periodic material stores & van stock taking activities, presenting outcomes & improvement proposals where identified. Use regularly the company’s information systems technology to process data that monitors the internal material store stocks & records material transactions with suppliers & colleagues. Help with the development of Departmental Plan’s, ensuring compliance & departmental performance therein. Continually identify risks & areas for improvement / opportunity / waste / non-value-added. Communicate these in the most appropriate format to the respective recipient in a timely manner. Where applicable, provide leadership, support, & guidance to subordinates. Develop knowledge, which is subsequently embedded within the process & knowledge systems to speed-up & inform decision making. Help with the development & harmonisation of the Company’s processes & Knowledge-based systems. Possess strong & effective inter-personal & communication skills & the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of clients & personnel. Ensure full compliance with the Company’s Business Assurance Standards in all relevant reporting, documentation, record keeping & procedures. Ensure the personal safety & safe working environment of staff. Assume other responsibilities as required & work with colleagues to further the best possible performance of the Company. Always abide by the Company’s Culture & Values. About You: Experience of Purchasing / Supply Chain Management / Logistics within a fast-moving customer-focused environment. Commercial awareness. Health & Safety awareness. Excellent IT skills – including but not limited to, Word Processing, Spreadsheets & Databases. Supply Chain Management / Logistics. Knowledge of Sage Line 100 or Sage 200. Knowledge of Change Management. Desirable Experience: CIPS Level 3. Forklift Licence.
