An excellent opportunity has become available for a Fixed Term contract (ending on May 6th) for a Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist in the adult acute inpatient service.

Are you a band 6 looking for a better work-life balance at an innovative Trust or a band 5 SLT ready to progress your career? We’re offering an opportunity to learn specialist skills and a developmental band 5 to 6 post if required. Completion of RCSLT Level C Dysphagia competencies is preferable.
As an adult speech and language therapist with the Royal Devon University Trust - Northern Services (North Devon District Hospital), you will assess, treat, and advise adults with communication and swallowing difficulties. Your role will be across general medical and surgical wards, emergency department, ICU, and supporting our acute stroke service.
Our service provides instrumental assessment with a weekly videofluoroscopy assessment clinic, with training provided as needed. Additionally, we have a SLT-led FEES service.
Our wider integrated service supports acute medical/surgical inpatients, community rehabilitation, stroke and neuro rehabilitation, voice and head and neck outpatient services, with options to shadow specialist clinics to support your career development.
We embrace new ideas and ways of working at the Royal Devon, offering opportunities to develop the service, education programs, and research.
Training and development opportunities are available, and we actively encourage CPD, with opportunities to collaborate with specialists for your CPD.
Innovation is central to therapies at the Royal Devon, demonstrated by new initiatives and the development of non-traditional roles, including a Research and Innovation Lead.

An exciting opportunity is available for a fixed-term contract of several months for a Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist in the adult acute inpatient service.
