POSITION OVERVIEW:
Tunes and tests filters and electronic components. Technicians utilize specification sheets, drawings, blueprints, network analyzers, and computer programs to outline filter capacity/function. Must adhere to Manufacturing Operating Procedures (MOP) and Automated Testing Procedures (ATP). Conducts quality assurance spot checks and tests for accuracy of product. Equipment used includes Network Analyzer, calipers, computer, continuity tester/multimeter, microscope, soldering irons, plotter, calculator, wrenches, and tuning instruments. Cleans finished products according to established procedures. Must measure tolerances and record job-specific data on forms, logs, time sheets, and other required documentation. Must complete work with accuracy and speed.
QUALIFICATIONS SUMMARY:
High School Diploma or GED plus related experience such as television repair or electronics training. Previous soldering experience or skills preferred. Mathematical skills required with emphasis on the ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages. Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret bar graphs and instructions. Thorough knowledge of calibration, reading drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
* Work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work.
* Requires repetitive use of hands and fingers in the tuning process.
* Work may require some walking, standing, carrying light items (up to 10 lbs), and recurring reaching or similar activities.
Ability to adjust the eye through the use of appropriate tools to bring objects into sharp focus.
SALARY RANGE: $23.00 - $25.00
