Director, Quality Excellence, and Innovation The Director, Quality Excellence and Innovation is a pivotal role within the QuRE department. This individual will lead the development and execution of quality strategies to drive continuous improvement, operational excellence, and innovation. The Director, Quality Excellence and Innovation will oversee initiatives that enhance quality culture, process efficiency and quality brand reputation while staying ahead of industry trends as Quality 4.0/5.0 to foster innovation across the organization. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership Lead the development and implementation of the Quality Excellence and Innovation strategy, aligned with organizational goals, regulatory requirements, and emerging industry trends. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing innovative quality solutions that optimize processes and reduce costs, including digital transformation and advanced analytics. Champions Operational Excellence (OPEX) initiatives by applying process improvement methodologies as Lean and Six Sigma to drive efficiency, lower the cost of quality and improve organizational agility. Develop and implement cost of quality models to measure and manage the impact of quality activities on operational expenses and drive cost-effective quality improvements. Innovation and Digital Transformation Leads the adoption of emerging technologies (e.g. AI, automation, machine learning) and advanced digital tools to modernize quality operations and ensure future readiness. Translate industry advancements, such as Industry 4.0 and 5.0, into scalable quality strategies that enhance quality, reduce risk, and improve regulatory compliance. Identify and capitalize on opportunities to use predictive analytics and real-time data to enhance decision-making and anticipate risks. External Engagement and Trend Monitoring Proactively monitor industry shifts and technological advancements ensuring the organization remains at the forefront of innovation. Leads effort to translate external insights into impactful internal strategies, positioning QuRE as a leader of risk and quality excellence. Brand Story Design and communicate a compelling “QuRE” Brand Story that aligns with the organization’s values and enhance its reputation for quality excellence and risk management both internally and externally. Develops communication strategies to promote QuRE’s commitment to innovation and excellence, ensuring these values are embedded in corporate identity and customer perception. Engage with stakeholders at all levels to create a buy-in and sustain a right first-time culture throughout the organization. Stakeholder Collaboration and Leadership Collaborate with QuRE leaders and other senior leaders in the R&D organization to align quality excellence and innovation initiatives with broader organizational priorities and business strategies. Why you? Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Advanced degree preferred Extensive experience in quality assurance, quality systems or operational excellence. Knowledge of drug development process Experience with process improvement methodologies e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, Scrum Strong communication and interpersonal skills Other Experience/Qualifications: If you have the following, it would be a plus: Solid working knowledge in continuous improvement with a background in the appropriate tools Strong quality orientation including the ability to focus on details and adherence to standards while maintaining a business perspective. Analytical mindset to develop effective quality strategies for dealing with current and future industry trends. Ability to adapt to changing direction and needs of the business; can directly apply this knowledge into daily tasks and assignments. Effective communication/negotiation skills and customer management skills Strategic thinking with a focus on innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
