Offering a wide variety of leisure activities, for walking and hiking enthusiasts, they are situated in the northeast of Lancashire, nestled between the Ribble Valley and the Pennine Way. The Forest of Bowland, an area of outstanding natural beauty, is on their doorstep and the Yorkshire Dales, Lake District, and Bronte Country are all within easy reach. Our client has been established in the area since 1911 and offers high quality veterinary care to small animals, horses and farm animals in the surrounding areas. They are looking for a small animal veterinary surgeon to join their friendly and supportive team. The practice offers 15 minute consultations to its clients and regular team meetings are held so employees can contribute to the success of the practice and ensure everyone is listened to.
This modern facility offers services including state-of-the-art digital x-ray machine with cloud base image storage, ECG, flexible endoscope, ultrasound scanner, tonometer, infusion pumps and a well-equipped in-house laboratory complete with electrolyte analyser. They have also won awards for the BVHA design awards, Pendle Employer of the Year and have also been highly commended in the SPVS Wellbeing awards twice.
The Rota:
• Full or part time hours
• Weekend OOH: 1.5:8 with generous time of in lieu given
• Happy to discuss flexibility on working hours
• 15 minute appointments
The Benefits:
• Current pay scales: a one-year qualified vet will be paid £38,000. A vet who has been qualified for 6 years will be on £53,000
• Up to 38 days holiday a year, with a holiday buy back scheme, too, for those who love to travel
• A generous CPD allowance of £1,750 per annum (pro rata), and certificates are encouraged with a higher CPD budget given
