About the area The Student Wellbeing and Engagement division plays a key role within UWA’s Student Life Directorate, contributing to a high-quality student experience through comprehensive and integrated services. This team is responsible for delivering the UWA Mental Health and Wellbeing Framework, focusing on early intervention and low-barrier access to support services. The division's work spans complex case management, counselling, early intervention initiatives, student engagement, and primary prevention efforts, including responses to gender-based violence via the Safe and Respectful Communities team. About the opportunity Lead the implementation of a university-wide mental health and wellbeing framework. Develop and execute primary prevention and early intervention programs to proactively manage and support student mental health and wellbeing. Oversee services that maximise student engagement, success and wellbeing. About you Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent competency. Current registration with a relevant professional body, such as AASW, AHPRA, PACFA, or ACA. Proven leadership skills, with experience managing high-performance teams and fostering a positive, student-focused culture. Significant experience working with complex case, including responding to disclosures of sexual abuse, family/domestic violence, child safety, and other critical incidents requiring sound decision-making.
