Geography Teacher – Stockport
A forward-thinking secondary school in Stockport is looking for an inspiring Geography Teacher to join their team. This role is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about the natural world and helping students understand the complexities of geography.
You will deliver engaging lessons covering both physical and human geography, ensuring students gain a strong understanding of global issues, landscapes, and environmental challenges.
Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver lessons across KS3 and KS4, covering a range of geographical topics.
2. Use maps, case studies, and technology to create interactive learning experiences.
3. Support students in developing analytical and problem-solving skills.
4. Prepare students for their GCSE examinations through structured teaching and revision.
5. Lead fieldwork trips and geographical research projects.
6. Encourage environmental awareness and discussions on global issues.
Minimum Requirements:
1. QTS or equivalent qualification in Geography.
2. Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and exam expectations.
3. Enthusiasm for teaching and the ability to engage students of all abilities.
4. Excellent organisational and communication skills.
