As an Aircraft Fitter, you will be responsible for maintenance, repairs, and modifications to the aircraft. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
1. Responsible for the maintenance of the aircraft and safe use of ground equipment.
2. Can accurately navigate and interpret aircraft maintenance documentation.
3. Carry out aircraft modifications and light structural work if required.
4. Compliance with the organisational policies and procedures detailed in the company's MOE and supporting manuals.
5. Identifying and rectifying existing and potential unsafe conditions.
6. Maintaining the work environment in a clean and safe manner using a 'clean as you go' approach.
7. Complying with company Safety Management System (SMS) occurrence reporting procedures.
8. Complying with the company's safety policy.
9. Complete aircraft paperwork to a high standard.
10. An awareness of COSHH, Working at height, and Manual handling safety requirements.
11. Actively embrace a Continuous Improvement (CI) culture.
Candidate Requirements:
1. Must currently have eligibility to live and work in the UK; unfortunately, sponsorship cannot currently be offered.
2. Must hold a valid aircraft standards-based qualification (Apprenticeship/NVQ level 3) or aircraft-related academic qualification/traineeship with a minimum of 3 years recorded experience or be able to satisfy the company's Training/Maintenance management team.
3. Current Human factor initial and refresher, EWIS, and SFAR 88 certificate.
4. Knowledge of aeronautical regulations.
5. Must have the right to live and work in the United Kingdom.
6. Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
7. Be able to successfully complete security clearance.
Desirable Criteria:
1. Experience with Airbus or Boeing aircraft is desired.
2. Previous exposure to (email address removed) and AMOS.
3. Knowledge of MRP Part 145 regulations.
4. Good communication skills, both verbally and written, and interpersonal skills.
5. A proven ability to work as part of a team.
6. Be able to work on their own initiative and demonstrate leadership skills.
7. Possess proficient organisational skills and an ability to work in an efficient manner.
8. IPAF/MEWP familiarisation.
Typical Working Conditions:
Primarily based in Oxfordshire; however, travel may be required.
Shift Pattern: 5,5,4-day shift.
