Salary: Full time starting salary is normally in the range £32,546 to £35,116 with potential progression once in post to £39,355

Role Summary
To support and work with ReLiB colleagues and the wider EPS College and Partner Institutions (Universities of Newcastle, Leicester, Imperial & Edinburgh and the Faraday Institution) to coordinate activities, information, data, reporting, events, enquiries and meetings that will underpin the successful delivery of a high profile research project in terms of key milestones, outputs and outcomes.
This role requires close liaison with staff across the EPS College and with the UoB support teams, for example in Finance and other central services e.g. procurement. It will also require co-ordination with external partners and the funding agency (the Faraday Institution) to ensure smooth delivery of projects. This role reports to the Project Manager with a dotted line to the School Operations Manager.
Main Duties
1. Coordinate ReLiB project activities, information, data, reporting, events, enquiries and meetings that will underpin the successful delivery of a high profile research project in terms of key milestones, outputs and outcomes.
2. Work with ReLiB colleagues and where appropriate external organisations to ensure that the project’s website is up-to-date, accurate and reflects the current status of the project.
3. Working with the Project Manager, University central systems and project collaborators to prepare materials for reports on project progress, e.g. financial forecast, funding claims or other regular progress reports to internal and external stakeholders and presenting to Project Boards and other key stakeholders.
4. Provide executive coordination support to Project Boards, work streams and working groups as required; setting agendas, collating and distributing papers and minutes and ensuring follow up action is taken.
5. Working with the Project Manager to assess and escalate issues and risks, including monitoring the risk registers.
Person Specification
1. Substantial industrial project coordination experience.
2. Substantial experience of project or administrative coordination, preferably in an academic setting.
3. Experience of collaborating with a wide range of staff and skill sets, with competing agendas to deliver high-quality and timely coordination and support.
4. Experience of working in a complex work environment that is fast paced, ambiguous and deadline driven.
5. Excellent IT skills, with working knowledge of standard Microsoft Office software and using custom systems and databases.
6. Knowledge of the protected characteristics of the Equality Act 2010, and how to actively ensure in day to day activity in own area that those with protected characteristics are treated equally and fairly.
